This website has been created by leading corporate accountability NGOs to track legislative and case law developments related to the corporate responsibility to respect human rights, with a focus on mandatory human rights due diligence and parent company liability.

Through their global activities, corporations are often involved in severe human rights abuses such as exploitative working conditions in garment factories, the use of child labour to mine cobalt for smart phones, or extensive environmental damage through mining activities. Despite this involvement in abuses and the devastating impact on individuals and communities, victims continue to struggle to obtain justice and redress. To address this problem, we need laws that require corporations to respect human rights globally and ensure that where they fail to prevent abuses from occurring, victims have access to justice.

We can no longer ignore the role of corporations in human rights abuses. Corporations need to exercise greater responsibility and be accountable for their decisions and activities.
